Ok I hold my hands up, Amy is 15 weeks old and I’m still pretty much entirely wearing my maternity clothes. I don’t think I’m unusual in that to be honest. Aside from the fact that they are the only things that fit, they are more comfortable (I couldn’t bear normal trousers on my still sensitive section scar) and in all fairness the over the bump band is really useful when it comes to breastfeeding.
The BelleBelly Breastfeeding Belly Band is like a souped up version of the over the bump band on your favourite maternity trousers – it fits from underbreast to the hip to ensure you don’t go exposing the bits you don’t want to! (It is also designed to help keep your covered in pregnancy but I don’t really think it would have covered my once enormous bump!)
I found the BelleBelly band really comfortable to wear – it fits well, not too tight but not baggy either. It doesn’t roll down while you’re wearing it (unlike similar bands I’ve tried before). I’m quite tall and often find things aren’t really long enough but this was great.
There is a bit of a nack to pulling your top up and down without moving the BelleBelly out of place but it’s doable!
The fabric is smooth and supportive but not too thick so it’s unnoticeable under your clothes and as an added bonus I found it helped to keep me a bit warmer during this rubbish weather we’re having!
At £15 its considerably cheaper than an array of breastfeeding tops and I’m a big fan!
