There’s a House Inside My Mummy by Giles Andreae – Review

I bought There’s a House Inside My Mummy to share with Ben when I was expecting Chloe after it had been recommended to me by a friend. He was probably around 20 months old when we started reading it to him, we must have read it at least three times a week in the run up to Chloe’s birth.  I remember thinking it was really cute that Ben thought the characters in the story were us – he used to point and say “Mummy, Daddy, Ben”.  It made it easier to relate the story to our own situation for him as well.  The book also provided other opportunities to develop his vocabulary as he pointed out the giraffe which he called “raff” and other things in the bright illustrations. Two years on, having recommended There’s a House Inside My Mummy to many friends on their second pregnancy, I was thrilled…
