Get Snap Happy this Summer with Albelli – Giveaway

I’m more than a little attached to my mate Jonny. For those of you who don’t know, Jonny is my well loved DSLR.  I’ve always been keen on taking photos to preserve memories; from taking a disposable camera with me on a big night out in my twenties to capturing precious moments in my children’s lives, I have thousands and thousands of images stored on my laptop.
Albelli, a leading photo printing company, have done some research into our relationships with our cameras and some of their findings are really quite surprising – despite 81% of Brits saying they treasure family photographs the most, 67% of young Brits admit to not having any recent photos with their parents!  I can’t help but think they’re really going to regret that in years to come. (And in fact 60% of Brits admit they already do regret not taking more photos with their parents)  I’m pleased to say there are a couple of rather comical family selfies from our trip to York Races earlier in the month but I’m afraid I’m not about to share those with you here – I may never be forgive!
I wrote a post a few year ago about the importance of pictures – I was painfully aware that there just weren’t enough photos of me and the kids.  In part because I was always the one taking the pictures, but also because I had a tendency to delete the pictures I didn’t like (which was most of them).  Since writing that Dave & I have both made more of an effort to make sure I’m “in the picture” though there’s still room for improvement.  This collection of snaps from the last couple of months has made me realise that I need to take more pictures of me and Ben!! There aren’t any.

Albelli are keen to help you make sure you don’t fall into the same trap and would like to offer you the chance to win one of their best selling products; a medium landscape photo book – the perfect way to make the most of your own family photos.

To enter just complete as many of the rafflecopter options as you would like, of course the more you do the more chance you have of winning! Please ensure you complete them accurately to avoid disqualification!

My favourite photograph has to be the picture I took of my wife in Iceland (standing in front of 1,000's of Puffins). I have had it on my desk for many years and wouldn't part with it.

I missed my daughter's first steps – she just stood there for a while and I didn't think she was going anywhere. I would have enough time to get the camera if I wanted…

I regret not having any of me and my son when he was a newborn… I didn't feel like any pictures in the hospital (fair enough) but the week after it was Christmas and my parents were round- I kept asking for a nice family picture of me, my partner and new baby at our first Christmas…but no πŸ™ my dad took only 3 and they were ALL really blurred and unusable. I nearly cried. To make matters worse, he sent me half a dozen of my sister holding my son which were *perfect*.
You can't get that time back and it still makes me so, so sad… :'(

I have some lovely pictures of my children, but my favourite has to be one of my son (5 months) & daughter (2 and a half) together while we were on holiday this year – she lay down next to him on his playmat, held his hand & said "i'm your best friend" & he gazed up adoringly into her eyes – I'll look at it when they're fighting later on lol!
