Gift ideas for your man

*This is a collaborative guest post*

Men can be pretty difficult to buy for sometimes, so if you’ve got a special event coming up, it pays to put some thought into it in advance.  If you’re not sure where to start your search for the ideal present, these are some of the main areas you can focus on.

Man Toys

An obvious place to start is with his inner child.  Currently, there are plenty of gifts that cater to the big kid – this can be a good option, as you can buy him something he’ll enjoy but might feel guilty about buying himself.  A miniature remote control plane or a beer making kit are just a couple of ideas to get you started.  They might be slightly annoying for us, but seeing your man in a playful mood is priceless.

Premium Food and Drinks

Another item that your guy might be hesitant to buy for himself, but would enjoy being surprised with, is great food and drink.  There are some fantastic premium beers out there at the moment, which are fantastic as a one-off treat, but which most people are unlikely to buy regularly.  Alternatively, you could get some post ingredients for a great home-cooked meal.

Electronic Cigarette Kits

E-cigarettes are massively popular at the moment, and they’re an interesting option if you’d like to help your man give up smoking.  It might be just the nudge he needs to take that important step.

Online subscriptions

It’s all well and good buying a single movie for your other half, but what about spending just a little more and buying him a subscription to an online movie service?  You can find plenty of reasonable options out there, all offering a huge catalogue of great TV and films.  Or if your man is more of a video gamer, there are subscription options for that too.

Vouchers

It might seem simple, but vouchers are actually a great option for special occasions.  A voucher for a site like Amazon covers a lot of bases, so you know he’ll be able to find something he wants.  Just make sure you don’t get him a vouchers for somewhere you’re more likely to enjoy than he is.

As you can see, once you get into it, there are plenty of good gift options for men out there.  It’s just a case of thinking of a theme for your gift, considering what they like, and then enjoying the reaction you get when you hand the present over!

I always have no idea what to buy Hubby anymore. I usually revert to clothes or movies! x

They can be really hard can't they. I had planned to buy Dave new cycling gear but the money went towards our new speakers instead.
