I don’t know a lot about HEXBUG – actually I don’t know anything at all. What I do know is that my little dude was thrilled when he received a HEXBUG Zombie Aquabot
in the post! He was keen to try it out as soon as humanly possible – hence the salad bowl in the garden! So what is it? This tiny little shark-like aquabot has an automatic on off sensor which means it immediately starts to swim when you put it in the water and stops as soon as you get it out. Ben was absolutely enthralled by this and I’m sure he could have spent quite a lot of time just putting the aquabot in and out of the bowl!
Initially we tried the HEXBUG Zombie Aquabot in a salad bowl (yes I know but he was desperate to get started!) – the bonus of this meant that we could see through the sides of the bowl and watch the shark diving down into the water. Unfortunately it also meant the poor little creature had very little room to show off his moves.
Of course this gave Ben the perfect excuse to have a bath that evening! He was desperate to shut the blinds and turn off the lights but he was to be bitterly disappointed by the long, light summer evenings and he had absolutely no chance of seeing his HEXBUG Zombie Aquabot glow in the dark!
The bath was the perfect environment for the HEXBUG Zombie Aquabot to show off its fish like moves – if you didn’t know better you might well think I’d actually put a fish in there with him! It’s quite strange to watch. Ben found it really hard to just watch it and was desperate to pick it up and mess about it with it but I fear it would soon break if he were allowed to do that!
Safe to say the HEXBUG Zombie Aquabot was a big hit and Ben has asked to have it back in the bath constantly! I’ve actually had to hide it on a shelf in the hope he might forget about it briefly as I don’t want to put it in with Chloe and have her break it’s tail or something! He might never forgive her!
