I can do it myself!

Something has clicked for Chloe.

At the start of term I was pretty much fully dressing her each morning.  She wouldn’t even entertain attempting to put her own clothes on.

Then out of nowhere she just dressed herself:

I was so impressed with her and made a huge fuss!  I was half tempted to leave her shirt like that but didn’t want anyone to laugh at school!
Since then she has pretty much dressed herself every morning!  She’s even having a good go at her buttons.
She struggles to get her tops back off over her head but mostly she’s dressing and undressing herself independently and doesn’t want any help at all, in fact she gets cross if I do try to help her now!  What a turn around.

How proud and happy does she look too! Bless her. The same has happened here too! Nice when they learn new things hey!

It's certainly making my life easier (except when she has a little stress that she can't do it and won't accept help!)

That's amazing progress! LP can take her coat off and puts shoes on by herself sometimes but that's about it! x

It's literally happened out of nowhere! I don't know what made the difference though!

Aww look at her! Alice has not yet reached this stage – she is still pretty happy for me to do the dressing. Having said that she is really fussyabout shoes and like to do that herself, even thought she puts them on wrong feet a lot of the time! x

Yes shoes on the wrong feet is standard practice for Chloe too 😉
