Little Gems Clothing Boutique – Review

Introducing Little Gems Boutique . . .

Based in East London, Little Gems Boutique sell “fine footwear, fashion and fabulous gifts for baby and child” – sounds like my sort of place! Of course being up in Manchester I’m hardly local.  No problem there though – Alex and Clair have a lovely website too.  I’m not going to lie, I spent quite some time perusing the website and found all sorts of lovely things. I decided to choose a review item for Amy as she’s the one most in need of new clothes at the moment. Now you all know I love a good stripe so I couldn’t resist this fabulous little number:

Rock-A-Bye-Baby – Not Quite Dungarees

Seriously how flipping gorgeous are they?!

“A super cute’n’cool suit for both girls & boys, coming in funky and colourful patterns. The Baggy Suit has nickel-free poppers on the braces and inside legs for simple nappy changing.
STYLING TIPS- Wear with a funky hat and a big smile!”

I couldn’t actually decide from the picture on the website whether they were black or navy – I wouldn’t normally choose black for my little ones, in fact I actively avoid it so I was hoping it was a navy stripe.  It’s not but you know what – it doesn’t matter, because of the red detailing and the white stripe it means the black doesn’t look so harsh as it often can on children.

Although Amy is only just turning 6 months this week she has been wearing 6 – 9 month clothes for a few weeks.  The 6 – 9 months was out of stock on the website so I decided to get the 9 – 12 months figuring I would rather she had it to grow into and working on how long she is now it wasn’t out of the realms of possibility that it would fit her quite soon.

As it turns out, although the legs are pretty long – she could actually get away with wearing it now and how flipping cute does she look?!  (Yeah ok I’m biased but please humour me!)

Strike a pose!

Dave will tell you I’m fussy . . . My reply to that is that “The devil is in the detail” (and yes I guess you could say that means I’m fussy but don’t tell him I said that!).  This little outfit really rocks the details:

I love the deep red cuffs to the ankle, the red pockets the red flash on the chest and that the poppers on the shoulder and leg openings are all red too. The branding is subtle.

Basically I’m absolutely thrilled with this outfit – she should get a good few months of wear out of it. It will be great on warmer days without the long sleeve vest underneath.  The poppers on the legs make for an easy nappy change, the poppers on the shoulder make it easy to get on and off. It’s an all round win.

And now its your turn . . . Little Gems Boutique have given me an exclusive 15% discount code to share with you: ADVENTURE15
