Luv My Blankee – Review

After reading Kate’s recent review of Max’s new blanket from Luv My Blankee I was thrilled to be able to choose Amy her very own blanket.
Now you know I don’t “do” pink – which so my options were a bit more limited.  A lot of the designs are very gender specific – but Lucy has said she is going to be branching out to include some more neutral colour schemes.
But hey – what’s to say girls can’t like superheroes too  . . .

As soon as the parcel arrived I tucked Amy up in her pushchair – what I did find was that as the blanket is so beautifully soft and tactile it tended to slip off and as she wanted to hold it she was pulling it off too.

After a couple of days I decided it wasn’t best used on her pushchair and have since been using it in the car over her car seat which has been much more successful!  She loves to grab hold of it and it obviously keeps her warm too.

I have to admit Ben has had his eye on her blanket too and I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t make its way into his bedroom at some point!

Lucy set up Luv My Blankee to offer parents a more exciting range of luxury plush blankets – and she’s certainly hit the nail on the head with that one.  From superheros to zoo animals each blanket is handmade in Great Britain.  This is not just your average blanket – featuring a unique Dummy Pocket (which has remained untested in our house as Amy doesn’t have a dummy) and made from range of tactile fabrics this super snuggly, machine washable blanket will stand the test of time in any household.

At £60 each they are by no means a cheap option however for a high quality, beautiful, handmade gift you can’t knock it.

*Amy was sent her blanket free of charge for the purposes of review however all thoughts and opinions are my own*
