Operation Wedding Weight – Weigh in #11

So this is the one where I don’t get weighed . . . 

This week I’ve missed my Slimming World class for the first time.  I was attending a blog conference hosted by Tots 100 and had to get the train at 7.30am – no chance I was going to make my 8.30am weigh in then!  I did look at attending another class as a one off (your Slimming World membership allows to you to attend any class not just the one you registered with so you can always pop along to get weighed at another time if it’s more convenient).  Unfortunately the only other class I could have made was Tuesday night and there was no point weighing in on Saturday morning and Tuesday night was there?  

Anyway I missed my class and so have no weigh in news for you.  Of course I’ve jumped on my own scales to give myself an idea of where things stand and right now I’ve got a bit of making up to do!  If nothing else I have proved to myself that I do need to be going to class.  Doing it on my own won’t work.  I was slack last week, I didn’t weigh, measure or record as carefully as I usually do.  Knowing I didn’t have to get weighed on Saturday morning allowed me to take my eye off the ball, I relaxed.  I can’t afford to do that. 

This week I’m attending another blog conference on Saturday (it’s conference season!) but luckily this time it’s in Manchester so I will be able to go to class and at least get weighed.  Unfortunately I won’t be able to stay for Image Therapy which is a shame – missing two weeks in a row isn’t exactly great planning but such is life.  I’m just glad I’ll be able to get on those scales and get myself focused.

One of the things which is really helping me to get my head back in the game this week is that on Saturday I saw lots of people who I don’t see very often and had lots of lovely comments about my weight loss – people could see the difference and told me so.  I can’t tell you how much I appreciated it and it has really given me the impetus I needed to keep going.  

So this week I’ve treated myself to some Choc Shot which we had discussed in class a couple of weeks ago.  I’ve tried it in some quark this morning as a mid morning snack and really enjoyed it.  I’d love to know if you’ve tried it and have any other suggestions for it?

    I have never seen nor heard of the choc shot before what is it and how many syns lol. xx

      It's like a thick chocolate sauce but made with the most crazy ingredients – it makes hot chocolate or pours onto things. 0.5 syns for tsp / 5g.

    Choc Shot looks great for when you're craving sweet things – I'm starting to get a bit crave-y now, so I will try and factor in some chocolate at some point. You'll be back on track soon enough – you have done brilliantly – just need a good week and a good kick-start loss again. 🙂

      I find small bars of Dairy Milk are good – about 6 syns I think. Definitely don't deny yourself – that's what the syns are for.
      You're right – I need a really focussed week or two to get myself going. I'm doing well so far this week x

    At least weighing yourself you've got a bit of an idea where you're at this week! I've never used choc shot but it sounds fab for fighting off cravings

    I've never gone to class but I can understand how it must spur you on more. It's hard to stay strict when you are at home but I'm trying my best, ha ha.

    I've heard a lot about the Choc Shot but haven't tried it yet. I also have a tub of Quark in my fridge but didn't know what to do with it. I think the name puts me off, it's strange! x
