National Trust #50things Project – Pooh Sticks

This morning we took Ben and Chloe to learn to play Pooh Sticks as part of our contribution to a video promoting the National Trust project called “50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4“.  I love the idea of this check-list encouraging children to get outdoors and do different things and I’m hoping to work through quite a chunk of the #50things project list with Ben and Chloe (I’m pleased to say they’ve already done quite a few of the things suggested already!) We explained to Ben this morning that we were going to go and play “Pooh Sticks” and he immediately related it to the Julia Donaldson story “Stick Man”  which confused me initially but Daddy reminded me that a little girl uses the Stick Man to play Pooh sticks in the story!
