The ‘Blog Your Heart Out’ Awards

So the very lovely Kate from Family Fever saw fit to nominate me in the Blog Your Heart Out Awards! Aw little old me! Isn’t she lovely?

Now I can’t find out where this has originated from to be able to tag the post or to figure out how it works but regardless I think its just nice to give a nod to some blogs you love! If I work out where it came from I’ll edit the post to link it in!

There are a few rules with these awards:

  1. Answer the following 5 questions,
  2. Nominate 5 other bloggers that you think deserves a little bit of recognition

And so, without further ado,

What / who encouraged you to start blogging?
I started my blog quite some time ago as I wanted a way of recording the little things that my children had done or said. Ben often comes out with little gems of comments and observations that I just didn’t want to forget.  Earlier this year I realised I was turning down opportunities as I didn’t feel my blog was “bloggy enough” – Yeah I’m not really sure what I meant by that either but anyway I decided to post more regularly and more publicly and here we are!

How did you choose what topics to blog about?
Mainly the little people – things that they have said and done, achievements and our adventures. Basically just stuff that I want to write about!

What is something that most people don’t know about you?
Erm – I don’t like having things put in my ears 🙁

What 3 words describe your style?
Honest, friendly and cheeky

What do you like to do when you’re not blogging?
At the moment if I’m being honest I should probably say sleep but then I am 36 weeks pregnant haha. I love spending time with my little people, going on adventures with them! But in my grown up time I love make up, shopping, music (especially live)

So here’s my nominations. Blogs I love to read. Blogs which make me laugh and blogs which inspire me.

  1. Family Fever – Memories, milestones and misadventures of a busy mum
  2. My Mills Baby – All the latest from Baby Dexter and Team Mills
  3. Hurrah for Gin – Nothing you do is evil unless you are evil
  4. What The Redhead Said – Beyond the Babyled; family friends & me
  5. Outnumbered Mum – Life in a household of boys

Good luck!! I don't like things being put in my ears either x

What a great idea! I think all too often we find out so much about people's children but not much about the blogger behind the blog so I love little things like this to get to know people a little better 🙂

Jeez – I'm just putting my post together and I nominated you! 🙂 So you can have another one from me x

Nice read, it's always good to hear the actual writer talk, we spend so much time talking about our children and not enough about ourselves!
