TMI (Too Much Information) Tag

In all fairness the title of this Meme suggests that perhaps I shouldn’t really be filling it in but hey in for a penny in for a pound and all that.
Thanks to Donna @ What The Redhead Said for tagging me! (If you want to read Donna’s post it’s here
1. What are you wearing? Black leggings, black long sleeve top . . . a pretty staple look for me at the moment. I’m in that awful post pregnancy phase where a) nothing fits and b) you still need to be able to get your boobs out regularly in public c) you don’t actually know what your style is any more . . . (maybe that’s just me but after 5 years of maternity and nursing clothing with very little respite I’ve totally lost touch with myself and what I’d actually like to wear if I had more of a choice!)
2. Ever been in love? Just once. Just my Mr. (Of course I love and adore my children but I don’t think that’s actually what the question is asking)
3. Ever had a terrible break up? Just once. Dave and I split up for a while in our mid 20s.  It wasn’t “terrible” on the scale of terrible break ups but it was terrible for me.  It was hard but if it hadn’t happened I wouldn’t have moved to Leeds, had an awesome time living with my best friends or worked in a wonderful school where I met lots of lovely lovely people.  It all worked out for the best in the end.
4. How tall are you? 5ft 9 – making me taller than most of my friends but thankfully Dave is far taller so I can always wear heels!
5. How much do you weigh? More than I want to! I’m almost back to my pre Amy weight but that’s more than my pre Ben & Chloe weight and certainly more than my wedding day which is where I want to get back too.  It’s coming off steadily.
6. Any tattoos? Yes just the one on my lower back – I don’t love it but I don’t hate it either. It’s just there.
7. Any piercings? My ears and my tongue.  I used to have the bottom of my belly button peirced (just to be different) but I took that out when I was pregnant wtih Ben and I’ve never bothered to put anything back in as that part of my tummy really doesn’t need attention drawing to it!
8. OTP? What on earth is that meant to mean? Am I old?
9. Favourite show? It depends what for – I love my soaps, I love a good drama and I also love a good documentary (Born to be Different, Child of Our Time and stuff like that) – what I don’t like is anything that I have to concentrate too hard on, anything sci fi related (don’t get that at all) or anything scary!
10. Favourite bands? Favourites of all time are Maximo Park, The Long Blondes, Bloc Party, Jurassic 5 and Fleetwood Mac . . .
11. Something you miss? I’ve said this before on my blog but live music. Definitely live music.
12. Favourite song? Bloc Party – This Modern Love.  Goosebumps and tears on more than one occasion.
13. How old are you? I turned 34 last month
14. Zodiac sign? Aries. Whatever?!
15. Quality you look for in a partner? Humour. I’ve always told Dave the day he stops making me laugh we’re in trouble! Of course aside from that honesty is pretty huge. I don’t see the point in hiding things from each other.
16. Favourite quote? I’m not sure – I don’t suppose I have one.

17. Favourite actor? The fact that I actually just asked Dave this question would suggest I probably don’t have one – not one that stands out anyway!

18. Favourite colour? It depends what it’s for really but I guess red.
19. Loud music or soft? It depends what sort of music and where I am?! Each has their place.

20. Where do you go when you’re sad? It depends what has made me sad really but it’s more about the people than the place.  That said bed is always a good option.
21. How long does it take you to shower? I can be done in minutes but equally I enjoy spending a long time in the shower (or as long as our water tank will provide hot water which isn’t actually that long- roll on a new boiler!)

22. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?  I guess it depends what I’m getting ready for – if its just the school run then it’s a quick shower, brush my hair and a bit of moisturiser – if I’m getting ready for work then it’ll take me longer. I tend to get up before the kids and get ready then so I can do it in peace.

23. Ever been in a physical fight? Aside from with my sister?  In all serious no, I’ve never been in a fight but I have said that I’d kind of like to know what it feels like? Dave thinks I’m mad.  Of course this is not an open invitation for you to punch me in the face the next time you see me!

24. Turn on? In all honesty . . . I just want a good night’s sleep! (Don’t judge me – two hourly feeds through the night tend to cloud your mind a bit!)

25. Turn off? Smelly people! There’s no need.

26. The reason I joined Youtube? To be able to upload videos to my blog!

27. Fears? I’m really scared of moths. I’m also utterly terrified of something horrible happening to my family.

28. Last thing that made you cry? Yesterday I saw a pair of lambs being born – which would be amazing enough in itself but the ewe had been struggling so a couple of the blokes who worked on the farm came to help her. We realised as we were all watching that things weren’t looking good and I was starting to fear having to explain to the boys that this lamb hadn’t made it . . . when they successfully got the lamb out, gave it a good swing around and a bit of a rub it started to move and I burst into tears!  (I was glad I had my sunglasses on as I felt a bit of a wally!)

29. Last time you said you loved someone? To my babies today, I tell them every day without fail. Probably should tell Dave too so erm Dave – love you right! x

30. Meaning behind your blog name? “We’re going on an adventure” is a phrase regularly uttered in our house – I rarely tell the kids where we’re going or who we might see in case anything goes wrong.  I also thought it worked well for describing our life as an adventure.

31. Last book you read? The Story of the Streets by Mike Skinner (which I might have read about a year ago – shameful).  Well either that or “Penguin” by Polly Dunbar which I read to Amy at bedtime last night.

32.  The book you’re currently reading? No, no books in the process of being read.

33. Last show you watched? I’m watching the Michael Mcintyre chat show on Sky+

34.  Last person you talked to? My Mr, we are sat in the same room so I guess it would be pretty bad if we weren’t speaking!

35. The relationship between you and the person you last texted? Mich – We’ve been friends for almost 15 years now (where has that time gone?) We went to uni together, lived in bedrooms opposite each other in halls, shared a house for the next three years and now live round the corner from each other. Our boys are 6 months apart and the best of friends, I’m god mother to her daughter and she will be god mother to Amy.

36. Favourite food? This just makes me think of the Gruffalo! Anyway that’s by the by, erm Mum’s lasagne? A good curry? Lots of the lovely things Dave cooks? I can’t choose.

37. Place you want to visit? I’ve got quite a list.  I haven’t been to many places really.

38. Last place you were? We went to Cannon Hall Farm yesterday and it was fantastic (I’ll blog about it soon!)

39. Do you have a crush? David Beckham. Honestly. Doesn’t everyone? You just would!

40. Last time you kissed someone? My little ones at bedtime.

41. Last time you were insulted? Eee I don’t know? It obviously didn’t bother me much.

42. Favourite flavour of sweet? Rhubarb and Custard – Yum

43. What instruments do you play? I play / played the flute.  I gave up my lessons around the age of 16 when I was preparing for my Grade 6 as it was just too much along with my A Levels I think.  It only comes out occasionally now for school – Christmas carols, St Patricks Day etc etc.

44. Favourite piece of jewellery? My wedding and engagement rings – both for what they are and what they mean.  I’ve only had them back on about two weeks after taking them off later on in pregnancy with Amy.

45. Last sport you played? Is shopping classed as a sport?

46. Last song you sang? Probably something about Chloe keeping her pants dry – yes I know.

47. Favourite chat up line? Can’t say I have one – I don’t ever remember anyone using one on me!

48. Have you ever used it? Erm no! Never.

49. Last time you hung out with anyone? Monday night – a much needed wander round the Trafford Centre with Mich.

50. Who should answer these questions next? Kate from Family Fever, Kerrie from Wife, Mum, Student Bum and Jo from Not A Frumpy Mum

I love your answers and I have to say, you're quite funky really! 🙂 I knew that already, obviously. But – You have your tongue pierced, the last book you read was about The Streets (admittedly a year ago) and you miss live music. I MISS LIVE MUSIC TOO!!!! x

I LOVE The Streets – The book was ace and it felt like I really got to know the albums better. I feel like they were the soundtrack to my youth – I can attribute so many memories to those five albums. Mike Skinner is fantastic live too 🙂
I used to go to gigs at least once a month – now I'm lucky to get a couple a year! Can't wait to see Jurassic 5 again in June though.

These are a good set of questions. I'm pretty much the same as you in a a lot of things. I wear leggings and tops too, I don't remember what I wore before I got stuck in my rut ha ha! Will have a go at these tomorrow. x

It makes shopping really frustrating! I don't know what I want to look like anymore!
