Valentines Craft #BostikBloggers

It was fairly obvious upon opening our February Bostik Bloggers box what the theme was going to be:

Ben and Chloe didn’t really know what Valentines Day was about so I explained it was a day for showing people you love them.  I asked them who they might like to make a card for and they suggested Granny and Grandad – who am I to argue with that?!
I decided to just show lay out what we had and let them choose what they put on their cards themselves.
Typically they both went straight for the massive jewels, with an argument narrowly avoided over sharing them out equally and making sure they got the colours they both wanted!  Normally sticking something like this on the cards would involve copious amounts of PVA glue and mess but not today!  We used some Bostik Micro Dots which are basically sheets of minute dots of double sided adhesive – you lay the jewel on the sheet, it picks up the adhesive and then you press it where you want to stick it.  Easy peasy!  I should say that Ben and Chloe found it really tricky not to put their hands on the sheets which meant we wasted quite a lot of dots and they got sticky hands – though not as sticky as if we’d been using loads of PVA!
The cards have now been stood on the side for a few days waiting for Ben and Chloe to write in them and I’m pleased to say all the jewels are still exactly where they had put them!
I’m sure Granny and Grandad will be thrilled with their special cards when we give them to them on Saturday!

Keep an eye out for our next Bostik Bloggers post in March!

Just wrote a comment and then lost it so trying to remember what I said now..!!

Cards are brilliant and glue dots are great for making crafting easier for small people. My children don't understand Valentines either, they all chose one another! xx
