Win Love2Shop vouchers with DFS and your #SofaMoment!

Over the last eight years, our sofa has seen it all.  It has been slept on, sat on, jumped on and even vomited on.  Our sofa is my office, my dining table and my place to sit.  I have one end of one sofa, which is where I always sit – no matter that it’s worn, battered and no longer even that comfortable, it’s still “my spot”.  My favourite #SofaMoment though, will always involve being snuggled up with my family.  The sofa is the perfect place for cuddles – reading a book, watching a film or breastfeeding a newborn.  When you need to relax and take some quality time with your family, your sofa is where it’s at!  (Of course the sofa is also a place of danger – how many times have you sat down, knowing you have stuff to get done, and then never got back up again!)

For your chance to win £150 of Love2Shop vouchers, I’d love for you to tell me what your sofa means to you!  Share your most memorable #SofaMoment in the comments and I will pick my favourite to win!     The winner will be chosen by me so whether your #SofaMoment makes me laugh or cry, make it a good one and then record your entry using the Rafflecopter widget.

UPDATE 17.06.2016

The winner of the £150 Love2Shop vouchers is this comment:

Flicking through the photos on my phone, one which always makes me smile is a selfie with my wife fast asleep on one sofa, and me with my son fast asleep on my chest on another. This was one of the nights at back home after his birth and a 7 week stay in hospital. Just lying on the sofa was pleasure enough, but sharing the moment with my new family was pure joy. It’s definitely #mysofamoment

David, you made me cry!  Congratulations!

my #SofaMoments has to be with the grandchildren, One of the twins brings you a book to read, and the other one turns the pages, but you only get to read every fourth or fifth page as they turn the pages before you can read them. Then they say "the end" before you get there and I snap the book shut creating a draft onto their faces, at which point they giggle and then we do it all again with the book choice of the other one.

MY favourite #sofamoment would be definitely be each time when my two babies was born, sitting down on the sofa with them admiring the amazing gift, the wonder of nature and life, couldn't believe they are part of me… Falling asleep together over a sore breast, not caring too much about the stains of the milk, baby throw ups and tears… not the baby ones but mines. Sometimes tears of fear and frustration, more often joy and happiness.

my favourite #sofamoment is now a treasured memory … (I have a picture too) It's when my grandfather was feeding my youngest baby and my middle child got very jealous, so he jumped on my grandfathers knee, pinched his flat cap and gave him the world's biggest kiss!:)

  21. June 15, 2016 / 9:38 pm

#sofamoment we were all sitting on the sofa and my 2 afghan hounds decided they were going to do a circuit of the room, unfortunatley they had just come in from the rain so were soaking wet. Two large dogs with long soaking hair, we would have been less wet if we had been in a shower

My favourite sofa moment was the day I invented the TV remote control.

It may not have been infra-red, bluetooth or DLNA-enabled, but this was 1971, and it impressed the hell out of those who saw it – soon everyone wanted one. It consisted of an eight foot garden cane, artfully topped with a rubber bung liberated from the school chemistry lab. And it not only let you effortlessly surf through all three channels without stirring, you could even adjust the volume.

Come to think of it, I also invented the couch potato.

  31. June 15, 2016 / 10:30 pm

#sofamoment – with all the kids sat on the sofa with popcorn sweets and crisps watching a movie, preferably one we can all sing along too! 😀

  33. June 15, 2016 / 10:38 pm

My #SofaMoment is when I was 18. I'd fallen pregnant with my now 14 year old & was watching Eastenders, the storyline revolving around Sonia's teen pregnancy trying to pluck up the courage to tell my mum. I just couldn't do it so whilst she was out the room I quickly wrote a note to tell her, expecting her to be angry but her words which I remember to this day were 'my baby is having a baby!' She was so supportive 🙂

  34. June 15, 2016 / 10:39 pm

My daughter was born at home, so my all time top #SofaMoment was my two other children, new baby and I snuggled up on sofa minutes after she was born.

My sofa moment is sharing a bag of popcorn, a good film and a cup of hot chocolate with my lovely husband.
