Cornish Daisy Dribble Bibs and Blanket – Review

When Ben was little he was a right dribbler and I searched out some rather funky bibs for him – they were still quite unusual at the time and people always commented on how cool they were.  Chloe on the other hand wasn’t really much of a dribbler at all and almost never wore a bib.

And so to Amy . . . yes she dribbles and there’s no way I’m getting away without a bib for the sake of looking nicer!  I dug out all of Ben’s bibs and realised that whilst they were quite neutral in that they were plain red or navy etc but they just looked really boyish.  She has worn one or two depending on the outfit but I was keen to find her something nicer.

I’d heard mention of Cornish Daisy in the past so thought I’d pop over and have a look!  Cornish Daisy is run single handedly by the lovely Kate who still hand makes all her own bibs and blankets.

Safe to say Amy is pretty happy with her bib!

One of the things I love most about Cornish Daisy bibs is the cowl effect in the jersey top layer – it means it’s easy to arrange the bib to suit Amy’s neck and makes sure it really does catch her dribbles rather than them just sliding down the back of the bib! The fleece lining is super soft and fits beautifully.  The bibs wash and dry beautifully too – what more could you ask?

Amy is now the proud owner of three Cornish Daisy bibs
– “Twinkle Twinkle Silver Star”  (as modelled on the left!)
– “Eco Star”
– “St Ives Stripe” (Navy stripes are known as “family stripes” in our house so this was a must!)
I know that she’s going to get months and months of use out these.

The bibs retail at £5.99 with a multi-buy offer for 3 for £15.

Cornish Daisy fleece blanket

Along with her bibs Amy was sent a super cosy fleece blanket to try out.  Aside from the fact that it’s just gorgeously soft what I love most about this blanket is that it’s not massively bulky – we’ve used it in the car, on her pram under other blankets as it could be tightly tucked under her (especially useful if she’s fallen asleep and I don’t want to disturb her to put a coat etc on) and my favourite use of all has been as an extra layer when she’s in the sling.  I don’t have a coat which fastens over my sling (in fact it barely fastens over me but that’s another post altogether).  The blanket is the perfect size and weight to drape over the outside of the sling and sort of tuck in so that it stays put and keeps us both warm!

  1. We love Cornish Daisy, the blankets are super soft and the bibs handle even the worst of teething dribble! On another note – Amy is just the cutest!

  6. lovely bibs. I've just set up a business selling hand sewn items for kids. Bibs is one thing I make lots, inspired by my heavy dribbler toddler – I had to come up with my super soaker bib because he was out-dribbling all others we had!
