“It was great fun to kick off the summer holidays yesterday, with a visit to Dino Kingdom in Wythenshaw Park. We didn’t tell the kids, so it was a huge surprise when we arrived. With Cass being 5, he is in his dinosaur knowledge prime, which made it all the more exciting.
The parking system was extremely organised and well staffed, which made getting into the attraction really straightforward. Although, it’s probably worth a mention that the car park isn’t zoned, so make a mental note of what you are parked near, or it could be a longer day than anticipated.
There was quite a long walk getting into the attraction, which is understandable to avoid people crowding and having to stand around waiting to get in, however, if you have small ones, I would suggest packing the buggy.
The kids absolutely loved the dinosaurs and the space that they had used in the park was perfect. There was an excellent choice of food and drink vendors and good access to toilets. The food was a touch on the pricey side, so I would recommend taking a picnic to enjoy in the picnic area.
The kids were absolutely thrilled to see that there was a fun fair there too, complete with slushy bar! Unfortunately, you have to pay extra for this and they haven’t held back on the pricing. However, it’s been a while since we have done ANYTHING and it was really worth the additional expense.”
