It was an update I wanted to save and in fact write a bit more about – so here it is!
Custard Leave
I’ve had a much needed few days with my best friend – chatting, shopping, eating cake and dieting (yes I know how ridiculous that sounds)
Geordie ShoreÂ
It’s my guilty pleasure (or ours I should say – Dave will admit he loves it too!) Â This week I’ve been sharing this with Kirst and we’ve watched several episodes a night starting right from the beginning.
Getting weighedÂ
I wrote at the start of the year that I was looking to get back to my wedding weight this year – and I’ve managed another 2lb in the right direction this week 🙂 Slow and steady wins the race.
A positive conversationÂ
A situation from earlier in the week had been bugging me – I didn’t like the outcome and couldn’t stop thinking about it so I spoke to the person involved and made my point. I’m hoping things have changed as a result. If nothing else I felt better for getting it off my chest!
A sour faced person
The person who set last weekend off on a bad note managed to crack a smile and speak positively today and had a completely different attitude – amazing the difference a week can make! Wonder what next Friday will bring!?
Being proud of Muff BoyÂ
I just am. Proud of my bessie being a mature student and how hard he’s working.
Ben’s reading record
There’s not often anything written in Ben’s record about the reading he has done at school which I find frustrating – but this week there were two messages. One to say how well he’s doing with learning his sight words and another to say that yesterday he had done some really good sounding out and in fact “his best reading ever” – Proud Mummy moment or what!
So there, I’m ending this week with a smile or two.

Its always better to get things off your chest, and i'm pleased you're heading into weekend with a smile on your face 🙂 xx xxx
Love a positive end to the week! I've been intrigued by the term custard leave
The kids call by best friend Aunty Custard (she's Kirsty really but Ben got confused when he was little and it stuck)
We joked she should be entitled to some sort of best friend / god mother leave when Amy was born & ended up calling it Custard Leave 🙂 She took a week's holiday last week to come visit & it was fab x
