Festival tickets
Ok so this one is probably a bit too expensive for most budgets but the thing every festival lover wants most is festival tickets – so if you can’t afford to buy them tickets, can you afford to contribute to their ticket instead? Or what about a paid add on like a toilet or shower pass or paid workshops at a festival – this would usually need to be booked in conjunction with their ticket though so you’d be unlikely to be able to plan this one as a surprise.

Portable charger
Between patchy network coverage, trying to find your mates and making sure you capture all the best memories your phone battery can take quite a hammering over the course of a festival weekend.
Lots of festivals have a charging service where you’ll pay through the nose to stick your phone in a locker and charge it at various points over the weekend but I honestly think you’re better off investing that money in a decent power bank and charging your phone that way instead. It means that you can keep your phone on you rather than having to leave it somewhere to be charged and also means that you can use your power bank again on camping trips or other festivals. Renting a locker feels like wasted money to me. So with that in mind, I think a decent power bank makes for a fantastic yet practical gift for festival goers!

Festival-Themed Clothing
What better way to get in the festival spirit than with some fun, festival-themed clothing? Festival fashion is all about expressing individuality and having fun with the outfit choices – I often look at the outfits that people choose to wear at a festival and wonder what they look like on a day to day basis!
You can find a wide variety of stylish, comfortable, and quirky clothing items that are perfect for festival-goers – think festival t shirts (check the website of their favourite festival), band tees, hats or festival accessories. Vinted is a great place to source festival wear in a more sustainable fashion – everything we added to my girls’ festival wardrobes last summer pre-loved.
Camping Gear
When it comes to camping at festivals, you’re generally going to want to camp fairly light to avoid lugging too much stuff around – a more compact tent than you might choose for a standard camping trip, a lightweight camping chair or perhaps a cheaper sleeping bag that you don’t have to worry about ruining (we have lost sleeping bags and mats to a vomiting child at festivals – nobody is packing those up to take them home and clean I can promise you!)

Cordless Styler
Look this is a really bougie gift but I absolutely love my cordless GHD styler for festivals – I don’t wash my hair across the course of a festival weekend but being able to give it a run over with my straighteners to knock out any frizz or just give it a general tidy up makes a huge difference!
A Festival Essentials Kit
Why not put together a well-packed essentials kit which you can take your time to personalise to their taste? Consider including things like a reusable water bottle, a rain poncho or waterproof jacket, a sit mat, portable snacks (nothing that would melt), glitter or temporary tattoos, wet wipes, hand sanitiser and a toilet roll – you don’t have to spend a fortune to show you’ve really thought about this one!
