    • I must admit I hadn't thought of it that way – seeing it in person I was just so enthralled by the fact it had been preserved like that, I didn't really consider how it had come to be there in the first place!

  1. Such an interesting photo – so sad to see the ruined boat but it makes you wonder whether there is a story that goes with it.

    • Not much closer than the photo shows as the ground was too soft unfortunately – that said I think Ben would have climbed all over it had we got closer!

  2. Great pic. Wrecked boats always feel a bit creepy to me. This almost looks like it could be something from Pirates of the Caribbean

  3. You found a *shipwreck*?! I'm officially jealous. Would love to know the story behind this wreck, I hope it isn't half as sad as it first seems.

    • I'd have loved to have spent some time getting a bit closer and photographing details but the ground was too wet.
