Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

Last Updated on 17 May 2019 by Colette

Yesterday, after much weather forecast checking, we took ourselves off to the coast for a cheeky day out with Aunty Nic.

I had never been to Bridlington before but went with Nic’s suggestion and it was lovely!  We parked at South Cliff which meant we could park and ride for £3.50.  Having not arrived in Bridlington till lunch time we got the bus into town straight away to get our chips for lunch.

Sausage and chips all round for lunch (narrowly avoiding sharing with an extremely over confident, some would say aggressive, sea gull!) and a wander down the front to play on the 2p machines before we hopped the bus back down to South Cliff for a play on the beach.

The name of the boat made us smile as it’s something Mum often says

A bit of traditional seaside fun!

These two had the time of their lives playing on the beach

Even Amy got in on the action enjoying the feeling of sand between her toes

Beach Crew!

We had a top day out and the cherry on the cake? Miss Amy only woke for one feed at half 12 then slept through till 7am.  You can’t beat the sea air!

  1. Sea gulls scare me with their love of sea side food. They do look so vicious don't they and never seem to be scared. Looks like a really good time though 🙂

    • They actually had a notice up in the fish and chip shop to warn you just how brazen some of these gullls were – it made us very nervous!
