Whilst we are spoiled for choice for festivals in the UK during the summer months, there’s a whole world of festivals out there so I’ve put together a list of the biggest and best European Festivals worth dusting your passport off for this year!
Whether you want to dance in the snow or the sunshine, Europe has some of the best festivals throughout the winter months as well as the typical summer festival season offering an unforgettable experience for music lovers!

Snowboxx, Avoriaz, Morzine, France – Saturday 14th to Saturday 21nd March 2026
Snowboxx Festival is a week long event combining the thrill of skiing with the joy of live music, at one of Europe’s best ski resorts. In the stunning location of Avoriaz in Morzine, you can enjoy everything from igloo parties to slope-side games, and unforgettable performances from world-famous artists.
Skiing fanatics can take full advantage of the amazing slopes, or if you’re just there to enjoy your favourite music in a winter wonderland, the festival had an amazing line up in 2024 with The Streets set to headline the main stage. The 2026 line up has yet to be announced.


Snowbombing, Mayrhofen, Austria – Monday 6th to Saturday 11th April 2026
Bringing you winter sports and après-ski music performances in its giant open-air arena, Snowbombing Festival hosts amazing artists from all over the world. The 2026 line up has yet to be announced.
The Austrian festival has a range of themed parties in a number of locations from an igloo village, a forest clearing, an alpine farmstead and a street party. You can even head to Downtown to find a number of clubs with DJs to dance the night away.


Rong Open Air Festival, Malta – Thursday 7th / Friday 8th / Saturday 9th / Sunday 10th May 2026
Rong Open Air Festival offers over 60 artists playing trance and progressive at four days of open air club events, sunset parties, pool parties and boat parties.

Primavera Sound, Barcelona, Spain – Thursday 4th / Friday 5th / Saturday 6th June 2026
Primavera Sound is an internationally renowned music festival held annually in Barcelona, Spain. It’s one of the largest and most prominent music festivals in Europe, attracting music lovers from around the world. The festival typically takes places at the end of May but is a week later for 2026.
Primavera Sound is known for its eclectic and cutting-edge line up, often showcasing both established and emerging artists from around the globe. Past headliners have included iconic acts such as Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Björk, The Strokes, and many others, alongside up-and-coming artists and underground favourites.

Rock For People, Hradec Králové, Czechia – Wednesday 10th / Thursday 11th / Friday 12th / Saturday 13th / Sunday 14th June 2026
Rock For People is the best kept secret in the rock festival calendar and the fastest-rising alternative event in Europe for those discovering a full spectrum of guitar-laden brilliance. Playing host to 40,000 fans across the weekend, Rock For People is one of the largest open-air summer music festivals in Czechia and will see you rocking out to your favourite bands in a disused airport!
This year’s line up includes Iron Maiden, Gorillaz and Limp Bizkit.

Iceland Airwaves, Reykjavik, Iceland – Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th November 2026
Running for over 20 years, Iceland Airwaves returns once again with a must-see line up.
The multi-venue festival in Reykjavik sees artists perform all over the city in concert halls, bars, basements and even churches. And the best part is that there is something for everyone, as the music covers a range of genres from dance, electronic, rap, indie, rock, pop and more.

Rock in Rio, Lisbon – Friday 14th / Saturday 15th and Friday 21st / Saturday 22nd June 2025 TBC
Taking place across two weekends in June is Rock in Rio, a festival which has shaped the global festival landscape for four decades. This year marks not only the 20th anniversary of Rock in Rio Lisbon but also the grand 40th anniversary of the original Rock in Rio itself, a testament to its enduring impact on the global music festival landscape.
In 2024, the festival ventured to a new home in Parque Tejo, boasting a massive capacity of 80,000 attendees—a promising chapter in its legacy of musical greatness with a line-up featuring d Sheeran, Doja Cat, Scorpions, Evanscence and Calum Scott.

Longitude Festival, Dublin, Ireland – July 2026 TBC

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE): Wednesday 22nd / Thursday 23rd / Friday 24th / Saturday 25th / Sunday 26th October 2025
The Amsterdam Dance Event is a five-day electronic music conference and festival held annually in mid-October and is an absolute must for electronic music fans.
Amsterdam Dance Event is the ultimate electronic music festival, spanning almost 200 locations, with over 2,500 up-and-coming dance artists from all over the world.
The music event takes place over 5 days and nights across the city of Amsterdam, alongside boasting learning and career help in the dance industry with educational talks, networking opportunities, masterclasses, studio sessions and demos.

Polaris Festival, Mouton Noir, Verbier, Switzerland – November 2025 TBC

Ski lovers are in for a treat with another winter festival just around the corner in the month of November. Polaris Festival in Verbier, Switzerland is especially unique as it has a main stage perched on the slopes at an altitude of 2,200 metres.
The electronic festival line-up sees the likes of Marc Rebillet, Natasha Diggs, Dixon and more gracing the stage across two weekends. Your festival ticket also includes a ski pass, so you can enjoy skiing between performances, all included in the price.
And looking ahead to 2027 – don’t forget events often offer their best Early Bird pricing or discounted tickets straight after the event so it pays to plan ahead:
