I’ve been a huge fan of Getting Personal for around 5 years now.  I think I first came across it when I was looking for a personalised first Christmas bauble for Ben.  We now have three of them & I’ve bought countless gifts from the site over the years.  The website is easy to use and even personalised items are delivered at lightening speed.

Dave and I have been together for most of our adult lives – and once upon a time we used to take it in turns to organise a day out for Valentines (he once took me to South Lakes Wild Animal Park as he had discovered it was one of the few zoos in the country to have hippos!  The cheeky pygmy hippos were obviously as cold as us though and never came out of their hut all all day – the most we saw was a bit of hippo bum). We always bought gifts for one another.  Fast forward several years, a mortgage and three small children and erm well, the days out don’t happen any more and I can’t remember when we last bought each other a Valentines gift.

When I was offered the chance to review some Valentines treats from Getting Personal I of course jumped at the chance!  I spent quite some time browsing the website – you can filter the products by price, who the gift is for, whether you want something romantic or a bit naughty. I chose the following:

Personalised Valentines Card – “We’re the perfect pear”

The card is lovely quality – you can personalise both the image on the front and the message inside.  I decided not to personalise the message inside as I’d rather handwrite a message however this is really useful if you’re going to have the card sent direct to the recipient – ideal for an anonymous Valentines message of course!

You and Me Photo Frame

This photo frame is gorgeous – the black frame and white moulded insert would fit neatly into most homes!  It certainly suits ours where all the picture frames are black!  I think it would be a really very well received and thoughtful gift – especially if you managed to put pictures in it first! (I’ve yet to find photos of us to use!)

“Grow Old With Me” Glass Token

This gorgeous token features the words “Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be” – it immediately caught my attention as it reminded me of one of our wedding readings.  It’s such a lovely little ornament and sits beautifully on the shelves in our living room.

I’m thrilled with our treats from Getting Personal – I fully recommend you go and have a good nose of the website! You’re bound to find something which takes your fancy!

  1. Know the feeling about Valentine's day – yet another expense that the budget no longer stretches too. That said, I think the card is super cute and super special, totally love this idea.
