When our new Warmies Honey Bee arrived, Chloe had a bit of a rubbish day but was immediately cheered by its cute little face and rosy cheeks and was thrilled when I said she could keep him!
We already have a collection of Warmies in our house – Amy has a small herd of cows of course and I think Ben and Chloe have at least one Warmie each. There’s something so comforting about a cuddly you can warm!
You might think that a heated bead bag or microwavable plush is something you’d only use in the winter but honestly, in our house they are in heavy rotation for various aches and pains throughout the year.
Chloe has suffered growing pains in her knees for as long as I can remember so regularly microwaves her beads to relieves that discomfort. I’ve almost always got a sore back or aching neck that will be relieved with heat and of course they are great for period pain.
I much prefer a heated bead bag over a hot water bottle – there’s no risk of spilling hot water when you’re filling it up or worrying about the rubber having perished. A heated bead bag just chucks in the microwave and you’re good to go – this of course means that my kids are able to heat up their own Warmies whenever they need them.
Do be careful not to overheat your Warmie – there are clear instructions on the label. Your Warmie should only ever be heated from room temperature.
The Warmies Honey Bee has a soft, squashy body and gentle lavender scent, perfect for snuggling up with. The Warmies Bee is a lovely size – big enough to cuddle but not so bulky that it gets in the way – it’s also feels gently weighted which is great for little ones who like that secure, ‘tucked-in’ feeling
As with all Warmies, the heat lasts a surprisnigly long time and the calming lavender scent makes it ideal for bedtime, soothing aches and pains or just a cosy night in front of the telly.
As a bonus, you can actually put your Warmie in the freezer for cooling relief – though it feels kinda mean to shut that cute little face up in a cold, dark freezer!
It’s worth noting that Warmies are not machine washable – in fact they must not be immersed in water at all and should only be surface cleaned with a lightly damp cloth.
