The excitement levels for the new How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World film (out in cinemas on 1st Feb 2019) are reaching fever pitch in our house. We saw the trailer back in the Christmas holidays when we went to see the new Mary Poppins and Chloe nearly leapt out of her seat. I’ve promised her we’ll go see it as soon as it comes out (we usually wait for reduced Saturday morning showings months down the line but I think Chloe would explode if I made her wait that long for this one!)
In the meantime, I thought I’d share some How to Train Your Dragon toy recommendations with you!

How to Train Your Dragon Plush Toys From Build a Bear
We have a range of How to Train Your Dragon toys from Build a Bear in our house – Chloe has a Toothless and a Light Fury (£22.50) as well as two babies (one white, one black) and Ben has a Special Edition Toothless (£27.50) with a shiny dragon glow on his fur! The large size plush toys are around fairly reasonably priced (inline with Build a Bear prices!) and can often be found on offer, but the babies are pretty expensive at £6 a pop. As well at Toothless & Light Fury, you can buy Stormfly (£22.50) & Hookfang (£22.50) – however these are online exclusives so don’t expect to find them in store!
How to Train Your Dragon Playmobil
There’s a range of How to Train Your Dragon Playmobil available featuring all your favourite characters ranging from £6.99 for Astrid with flight suit and Hobgobbler to the rather more expensive Ruffnut and Tuffnut with Barf and Belch at £52.99. On average the sets are around £30 a piece so you’re looking at quite the investment if you want a full complement of Playmobil dragons!
