30 weeks!? Â Really?! How has that happened? Â I’m sure this is the fastest pregnancy in history – I guess the biggest factor in that is having two other little people to run around after & occupy my thoughts.
Beak is truly making him / herself known now with lots of wriggling & kicking about (some of which is decidedly uncomfortable.) This baby definitely seems to be in a different position to the other two, the movements often feel very different. Ben tries daily to feel kicks & wriggles but Beak is stubborn as all hell & usually stops!
At 30 weeks I’m finding the SPD is getting harder to stave off – it has been threatening from about 16 weeks but I’ve been careful – I know what upsets it so I’ve avoided those things! Not working full time or driving to Leeds & back every day is clearly a major factor in this! Having not worked for the last 7 or so weeks I’ve obviously been able to be quite flexible about what I do & not push things. It will be interesting to see how this pans out over the coming half term. The bonus is of course that I can be relatively flexible and choose not to work if I’m struggling (though the impact of this on our bank balance may be more of a deciding factor than my sore pelvis!)Â
Sleeping is getting to be more of a challenge – heartburn is stopping me from getting to sleep on occasion & my hips are certainly stopping me staying asleep. Dave is being a complete star allowing me to stay in bed of a morning but my hips clearly have a different agenda. So aside from heartburn and sore hips, a stabby pelvis and numb thighs? Its all good. My bp is thus far behaving, I escaped the gestational diabetes (whoooop!) and Beak is a perfectly sensible size. The countdown begins here …Â

Exciting!! 🙂
wow that gone really fast! lovely bump picture too! x
Its flying by! Sure it will slow down now I've hit 30wks lol
Amazing pics…suddenly missing my bump and feeling broody. Quick slap me
I'm trying extra hard to enjoy this bump as I know there won't be any more!!
So Exciting! You look fabulous! A lovely bump, hope the SPD eases for you.
Aw thanks Jen x
yay how exciting! you certainly have my empathy with the SPD, i suffered with it about 3 yrs ago while pregnant and i unfortunately still suffer even now. I used to go to bed with a wheat bag to pop on my hips. I hope it eases soon honey
Thanks for linking up your very special countdown! to #MagicMoments x
I couldn't live without my heated bean bag thing – they are a god send aren't they! X
Wow, how quick has that 30 weeks gone!? You look great and the pic of Ben and Beak is so sweet!
He's so excited 🙂
You have an impressive bump! I had SPD as well, what a nightnmare – I hope you are feeling better soon. The time is going to fly from now – 30 weeks is a big milestone, and of course anything after 38 weeks feels like forever!!! Look forward to following/stalking you on your pregnancy journey!
Yes 38 weeks plus is a lifetime isnt it! Will be slightly different this time tho as Beak will be born by planned section (I refuse to say 'elective' as I'm certainly not choosing it) so I have a set date to count down to! Eeek
Aw look how fantastic you look!! It really is count down from 30 weeks isn't it! If you feel 20 weeks has flown that baby will be here in no time! x
Thanks Lisa! The time is just wooshing past!
Ojhhhh I hated SPD – I could barely get up and my bum constantly hurt. I hope it goes away soon. Very lovely neat bump though!¬ 🙂
Its horrible isn't it. 3rd time round I know pretty well what sets it off & am managing it quite well.
Think being back at work soon will be a different story though!
Good luck!! Wow you look great – cant believe you're coping so well with two others, too!
Thanks Liz! Not working all summer holidays helps 😉
definitely blooming! hope the SPD holds off
Me too – but then even if it really cripples me now its not too long to cope. Positive attitude etc lol
You look glowing!
Aw thank you x
You look great, very exciting!
