A final Spring Bucket List Update for 2015

I suddenly realised that today is the end of May which marks the end of my Spring Bucket List and the time to make a start on the Summer one begins tomorrow – fingers crossed the weather man gets the memo!

4. Take the kids to their first “festival” – Geronimo Fest

We had a cracking time at Geronimo Fest last weekend.  The kid really enjoyed their first festival experience and it’s definitely something we’ll be looking to do again next summer.
11. Hold an Extension Warming party
Although we have managed to get bits and pieces done through the Spring we’re still a long way off being finished and definitely not party ready.  I think this might be moved through to at least Autumn!
12. Get the house straight – a proper Spring clean, declutter etc.
We’ve made steady progress, some new furniture has helped with storage but there’s still a long way to go.  I don’t think I can confidently tick this one off the list to be honest.
13. Continue with #OperationWeddingWeight
So yes #OperationWeddingWeight is still under way but really I’ve not made a huge amount of progress over the last couple of months.  I certainly haven’t lost anything like the next stone I was hoping to lose and this is something I really need to get a grip of.  I’ve got 6 weeks till my first big event of the summer.
14. Go to a farm and see some baby animals
This was a complete fail!  It was mainly a lack of opportunity but also just not having room in the budget for a farm trip.  Perhaps something I’ll manage with them over the summer.
15. Take a trip to Whitby
Another one that will roll over – this has been rolling over for a year now! I’m determined to get to Whitby for a day!
16. Get used to Daddy’s new job
Dave has been working full time in his new role for a month now and we’re starting to get used to it – after wearing overalls since leaving school it’s strange now to see him wearing a shirt and tie on a daily basis.  It has actually taken a bit of getting used to just having to consider getting his work clothes washed and ironed ready for the start of each of week as I’m used to him just wearing his jeans and t shirt!  As part of his new job Dave works away one night a week which we’re settling into.  He did a full week away earlier this month which was really hard and I’m glad it won’t be happening regularly!
Beautiful blossom in our local park earlier in the season
So here’s our how our Spring Bucket List at the end of the season – one or two things to roll over on to the Summer list!
  1. Make the most of finally being able to have people round again – playdates, dinners, coffee!
  2. A family theatre visit 02.04.15
  3. Multiple blog conferences for Mummy!
