Amy has been cruising the furniture with increasing confidence for quite a while now and chooses to spend as much time as possible stood up holding onto the sofa, her cot or the bars of her play pen however she hasn’t really shown much interest in walking. Today I decided to get the Vtech baby walker out and see what she did with it.
She was thrilled with the buttons, the lights and the sounds and spent ages sat playing with it and giggling to herself. After a little while I stood her up at the back to show her what to do but she just sat straight back down so I left her to it.
After a bit of a sleep this afternoon she was playing with the front of the walker again and we decided to have another go – she just set off straight away and walked from me over to Granny who was sat a few feet away. She was a little unsteady and leaning forwards a bit as the walker got away from her but within minutes she had it absolutely nailed! She spent ages this afternoon showing off her new skill and improved really quickly so that she’s now quite controlled and can even stop. The only problem being when she runs out of space she can’t turn it round yet! Ben and Chloe are going to be so impressed when they come home tomorrow and see Amy’s new skill!
