For the last couple of months Thomas has been enjoying a new subscription box . . . Yes a subscription box for dogs . . .
Now our Thomas is quite fussy when it comes to his treats (though he prefers I describe this as discerning). I know what he likes and he’s not afraid to turn his nose up at a treat he doesn’t fancy which can lead to a selection of treats languishing in the bottom of the jar until his sister Bella comes to play.
Thomas received his first box in February and I was amused to see it had a bit of a Valentines theme – I was impressed to see a wide variety of treats from shampoo (not something we really used as Thomas is rarely bathed) to chocolate treats and a toy. The lips toy was a firm favourite – Ben and Chloe thought it was hilarious. Thomas took a little convincing to start with, I think in part due to it’s soft plush fabric which is not the sort of toy we normally buy him. As with all dog toys that enter our home it didn’t last very long I’m afraid but for the comedy value it was an absolute winner!
The second box contained another new toy – this time a tough squeaky ball which so far is lasting well! (This is high praise indeed for a dog toy in our house!) Along with a range of different treats and a flashing bone to add to his dog collar for late night dog walking.
My only criticism of the Barkbeats subscription box is that some of the items would be more suited to a smaller dog than our Toss so we’ve put them aside for his mate Jeff. It would be great if you could edit your box according to your dogs size / needs.
*We were sent a Barkbeats subscription box free of charge for the purposes of review however all thoughts and opinions remain our own*
