Christmas light trails and light experiences have become increasingly popular in recent years. Where once Christmas at Dunham Massey was king and always sold out, there’s now a whole range of festive light trails in the Manchester area to choose from. A Christmas light trail a great alternative to visiting Father Christmas if your children are a little older now and makes for a lovely family tradition whether you visit the same place year on year or try somewhere different every now and again.

I’ve pulled together a list of the most spectacular Christmas light displays in and around Greater Manchester:

(Please note that all the information was correct to the best of my knowledge at the time of publishing and I will do my best to keep it up to date but please do check with individual venues for updates!)
