[I am steadily updating this post with information about dog friendly festivals in 2026 as it becomes available – if you know something I don’t, please let me know and I’ll add it in!]

Typically festivals are not really places for dogs – they’re noisy and chaotic and not especially secure. To my mind, taking a dog to a festival just adds an extra layer of unnecessary stress – however I totally get that for some people, being able to take their dog to a festival means they don’t need to worry about finding additional care for their furry friend and would actually just see it as a really nice way to spend a weekend outdoors with their dog.

Read our tips for camping with a puppy!

This post actually came about after a discussion with someone who claimed a family friendly festival shouldn’t be up for an award as it didn’t allow dogs – now to my mind family friendly and dog friendly are two completely separate things . . . but it did get me to wondering “Which festivals can you take your dog to?” so here we are . . . there are actually more dog-friendly festivals in the UK this year than I had at first imagined!

I’ve put together a list of dog friendly festivals – some are dog focused events, others are music festivals where dogs are welcome.

In case you were wondering “Can dogs go to Glastonbury?”, the answer is a resounding no so, if you’re looking for a festival to take your dog to, you’ve come to the right place!

Obviously if you’re planning to take your dog to a festival this summer, then you do need to consider if it’s the right thing for your dog – if they’re going to be happy in a noisy, somewhat chaotic environment or if they might prefer being tucked up in bed at home! If you haven’t taken your dog to a festival before, I’d suggest taking them to a day event before committing to a full weekend and also make sure you’re confident that they can cope with camping in typical circumstances before adding all the noise and fun of a festival! (Be sure to check out our list of recommended camping kit for dogs too!)

If you know of any other dog friendly festivals taking place in the UK this summer, let me know and I’ll add them in! (And if you have taken your dog to a festival and want to share some tips, I’d be happy to hear them!)
