Have you heard of Google Chromecast? I forget how much people know about techy things. My perception is skewed by my constant immersion in all things electrical! If you haven’t heard about Chromecast then it’s from Google. It plugs into a HDMI socket on your tv and let’s you send video, music, or pictures from your phone/tablet or your PC to your tv.
That’s about the size of it really. It doesn’t do much outside of that. If I’m honest I won’t be using ours for anything aside from streaming video, but for that it’s brilliant. So quick and so easy. It just works. Set up is easy. Plug in. Download app. Choose your Chromecast. Give it your Wi-Fi password. It updates itself and you’re ready.
Playback is as simple as finding a video you want to watch. You can use YouTube, Netflix, or any videos you’ve got yourself and with the touch of a button its on the big screen.
