Despite not being a runner at all, I jumped at the chance to review a pair of Hi Tec Haraka running trainers.
I keep considering taking up running but so far I’ve never got past the glimmer of an idea quickly squashed by thoughts of “I don’t have the kit”, “My lungs don’t like it” or “My boobs are too big” – thre’s always an excuse right? I do however walk several miles a day just doing the school runs and I’d like to add quite a few more miles into that as the weather improves and the days get longer (who knows I might even try and run . . . or not!)
My feet are still a bit wide post pregnancy and I’m finding when I try shoes on at the moment they generally pinch a bit. I decided to try the men’s trainers as I figured they would likely be just a bit wider.

Of course I’ve never had a proper running shoe before tending more towards a general all purpose trainer – as such I was really surprised by how light they are to hold and wear. The sole is flexible and looks like there would be plenty of grip.
I’m really looking forward to giving these a good test over the coming weeks and will of course be writing more about my findings!

They look great! The most I've ever run is for a bus when I was at school, I don't do exercise at all… I should probably start… x
I need decent trainers to keep up with my boys, these look great
