Yesterday we started out half term holiday with a good couple of hours up in Heaton Park – the weather wasn’t bad. It was surprisingly mild when we went out but by the time we’d been out for a while we could feel the cold!! Although it was overcast it remained dry which gave us chance to have a good old run about, kick (and throw) some leaves and generally enjoy the fresh air! The park was full of beautiful Autumnal colours – plenty of leaves on the floor but also plenty still on the trees.
It made for a lovely start to the holidays – hopefully the weather will be ok later in the week too so we can get out and about a bit more! We need to make the most of the dry days!
Our Autumn Bucket List so far:
- Watch Chloe start Nursery 03.09.14
- See Ben settle into his Year 1 class & new childcare arrangements 23.10.14
- Enjoy some Mummy & Amy time
- Family Day at York races (we missed it last year for the first time since Ben was born) 07.09.14
- Collect conkers – this was a massive fail last year so we need to try again!
- Move into the extension & host an extension warming party!
- Attend Harvest Festival at school 03.10.14
- Start Chloe’s swimming lessons
- Start dance lessons for Ben
- Depending on the state of our garden I’d like to plant some bulbs for Spring!
- Kick leaves – a standard Autumn activity of course! 27.10.14
- Splash in puddles – obviously!
- Enjoy getting wrapped up in jumpers and hats
- Celebrate bonfire night
- Make soup
- Blow dragon breath
- Stop breastfeeding
- Get back to work two days a week
- Autumn crafts
- Celebrate Amy’s 1st birthday (did I really just write that?)
- Keep going on that long hard “Wedding Weight” slog

Oh their matching wellies are just the cutest! Kicking leaves is one of our favourite autumn activities too 🙂 x
Love your Autumn photos. I love bucket lists and we did a Summer one. Its great looking back at the things you achieved x
love these pictures. We have been out and about kicking leaves too this week 🙂
Kicking leaves is so much fun, I had a go on the walk to school the other week. Haven't been to Heaton Park for years but it's a good place for running about isn't it! X
