Me & Mine – April 2017

Last Updated on 27 February 2020 by Colette

You would think that after a week’s holiday in the woods together that I’d have a whole array of family snaps to share this month wouldn’t you?  You’d be wrong.  I have hundreds and hundreds of photos of our trip but nothing of all of us together well except for this one we took just as we were setting off and one with Boss Ben at the end of the week!

I had fully intended to take some proper photos this weekend – to take the tripod to my Mum and Dad’s and get some pictures in the back garden or maybe even the rape seed field down the road but no, for one reason or another I failed!  So for April, I will leave you with this picture of us all proudly sitting in our new tent which Dave & I had just pitched for the first time before the kids played in it for the rest of the day!

Next month I promise to take some proper photos and not just embed from instagram! Whoops.

  1. Awww don’t be soft. Better to make the memories and fail to catch them with the camera, than to never have them at all 🙂 You still have 3 excellent shots of the lot of you 😀

  2. You did better than we did! Blanket on the floor, wait for a break in the clouds, camera on daughters selfie stick and a couple of quick snaps before the boy ran off again haha! At the very least you had an amazing time away which is better in a lot of ways ? x

  3. These are great pictures! Doesn’t matter that they are embedded from IG – they look fab! I love that scenery at Lake District – stunning! #meandmine

  4. Your photos are lovely … they’ve got me thinking though, I think we have maybe 2 photos of us all together, mind need to try and take more all together more often! Your wild living experience sounded amazing, got to love making memories like that for your children.

  5. Ahh I love these Colette. It doesn’t matter how you capture the family whether it’s selfies, candid, ig feed style like this or rapeseeds which seems to take over M&M this month wow. We tried rapeseeds what a debacle that was. hahaha They were grainy and all I had to use but probably not worth the begging for them to get done in the first place. Your kiddos need to teach mine and (hubby to0) a little happiness. #meandmineproject
