Some days you just need somewhere the kids can tire themselves out while you drink a brew in peace, catch up with a friend or maybe even steal an hour to get on top of those work emails..

Or where you can join in the fun too!

Oxygen Wilmslow features over 60 trampolines, an interactive multi-sports arena (perfect for dodge ball according to Ben), six climbing walls (with timers which meant Ben was heavily focused on beating his times), a cardio wall, and three storeys of soft play area (for children much smaller than mine!)

Challenge wall

When we first walked into Oxygen Wilmslow this morning Ben said he thought it looked quite small (bearing in mind he’s now 15 and 6ft tall) but believe me it’s deceiving. They were all as red faced and sweaty as each other by the end of the session (60 minutes bounce plus 30 minutes climbing wall) and were more than grateful for refillable slush and to refuel with the help of a really good value lunch menu!

We had purposely booked an early slot so that the park would be quieter which paid off – it wasn’t empty but it was quiet enough that I could easily take photos of them without people in the background and they didn’t really have to wait to access anything.

The kids suggested that climbing after trampolining isn’t ideal as they were already hot, sweaty and tired and given the choice, they would recommend you do climbing first but apparently the booking system automatically books the climbing as an add on after.

Staff at the climbing walls were very friendly and helpful. Ben loved the timed element which meant even though the walls were smaller and perhaps less challenging than he might like, he was able to constantly push and challenge himself to go faster and beat his best time. Amy worked really hard and I think probably did some of the best climbing I’ve seen from her.

After 90 minutes of activity, the kids were hot, thirsty and hungry! The refillable slush (just under a fiver each ) was a lifesaver and, whilst we honestly didn’t have particularly high expectations of the food (just based on previous experience at soft play and activity parks), we were all really impressed with both the quality and value! Ben said the chips were especially good.

For the most part trampoline parks aren’t my favourite place but they absolutely serve a purpose and I was really quite impressed with Oxygen Wilmslow – I’ll definitely be driving the extra distance to go there over my local trampoline park next time the kids need to blow off some steam!

Oxygen Wilmslow have got a range of offers on through the holidays including a “1 Week Summer Pass” costing £28 which entitles the holder to one hour of Activeplay per day for five weekdays, within a seven-day period

Tips for visiting Oxygen Wilmslow

  1. Although you don’t have to book online, it is recommended!
  2. Don’t forget to sign your waiver at online ahead of your visit to save time (but if you don’t manage to do that there are screens at the entrance where you can get it done. (Your waiver is valid for 12 months)
  3. Dont forget your trampoline socks (these are availbel to buy on site if you need them)
  4. Make sure your pockets are empty if you’re jumping (there are free to use lockers for yours shoes, keys etc)
  5. Take jewellery off and tie up lose hair
  6. Make the most of the refillable slush! We bought drinks part way through their trampoline session which they kept coming back to top up – they definitely made sure I got my money’s worth.
  7. Book your session for first thing in the morning when the park is at its quietest to ensure the most space to bounce and minimal queues for equipment.
  8. Parking at Oxygen is free but limited – there is an over flow car park near by for use on weekends.
