Rockabilly Kids Toothbrush – Review

Remember Weebles?  Come on think harder . . . what if I say “Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down!”  That’s what this new Rockabilly toothbrush reminds me of!  With it’s rounded, weighted base the Rockabilly Kids toothbrush is Europe’s first self-standing toothbrush.  So what? you might ask. So what indeed.

The point is that this toothbrush is designed to ensure it doesn’t ever fall over – it doesn’t need to be stored in a toothbrush holder, it won’t end up in the bottom of the sink.  Aside from the obvious hygiene benefits here its also just naturally very appealing to children – you’re basically asking them to brush their teeth with a toy.  Any parent knows that getting their children to brush their teeth can be a major battle so anything like this which adds a little novelty and fun to the proceedings has to be worth a try!  We’re quite lucky at the moment that the biggest argument we have around brushing teeth is actually over them not letting us have a go to check they’ve done everywhere!  Independence can have it’s down sides!

What we love about it: 

* It’s great fun

* It has been approved by dentists

* It comes with three replacements heads to provide a full year of toothbrushing

* There’s a range of characters and colours to choose from (great if you’re a pink avoider like me!)

* It’s great fun!

* The bulbous handle is ergonomically designed to be easy for kids to hold

* There’s no need for it to be stored in a grubby toothbrush holder

What we’re not so keen on:

*The only issue we found was that the toothbrush does need to be stood on a flat surface – this may seem obvious however it does mean that it won’t stand on the side of your average sink.  We found it quickly wobbled in.

All in all Ben is pretty happy with his new toothbrush claiming it to be “really cool” and Chloe? Well she’s quite envious and I think we’re going to have to buy her one too!
