As I write this month’s Siblings post, we are nearing the end of what has felt like the longest Easter holiday ever. I think with Easter weekend itself being right at the start of the holidays and the fact we had Dave off with us for a week, the holidays have lingered on beautifully, it really does feel like we’ve been off for such a long time. I’d like to tell you that we’re all well rested and ready to go back but after a lot of late nights this week and some lazy lie ins, I fear Monday morning might be something of a challenge for us all.
For the most part my little team have got on pretty well over the last month – we’ve had some lovely family time, both adventures and more lazy days at home. The three of them have invented more imaginary games and scenarios than you can shake a stick at – and mostly I love them but I must admit that the voices that go along with this pretend play grate on me after a while and I have to send them upstairs to carry on their game! There has been a little bickering and some frayed tempers but mainly just love – I caught Chloe and Amy snuggled up on the sofa together watching tv yesterday morning, mirror images of one another and my heart melted.
I think we’re all ready for the break that school will bring – Chloe and Amy have both said they are looking forward to seeing their friends again and I think they need a break from one another really.
