Siblings – February 2016

Last Updated on 25 January 2020 by Colette

Usually I find myself suddenly realising that it’s the middle of the month and that I need to sort out my Siblings post.  I gather together all the photos I’ve taken of my children together over the previous month and pick out my favourites.  I find as time goes on, I’ve managed to get more and more photos of them together each month.  It’s getting easier, they will stand still for a moment, they might even look at the camera – though rarely all at the same time.  If I’m really lucky they might smile!

Last weekend I had Jonny (my DSLR) set up on the tripod – which was a novelty in itself.  The kids were intrigued, Ben and Chloe thought it was thoroughly entertaining to be allowed to take pictures of each other and spent some time directing each other’s poses – which I must say amused me.  I only wish I’d had the foresight to photograph them photographing one another!  The light in our bedroom was gorgeous so the snaps were coming out really well and I thought it would be a good opportunity to try and take a family photo using the timer function.  Whilst we were waiting for Dave, I chucked all three kids on the bed together and amazingly came out with what I think might be one of the best photographs I’ve ever taken . . .

So this month, there is just one “Siblings” photograph.  How could anything even compare to that little corker?
