Heck I’ve been a bit slack with my Siblings posts recently – I don’t know how I managed to miss September’s and I very nearly missed this one too, I just happened to notice the date!
We’ve had a busy couple of months since I last did a Siblings update with everyone settling into their new school routines. Amy is now at full time school and Chloe has moved up to the Juniors which is on a different site – this means that Amy doesn’t see Ben and Chloe all day but Chloe now gets to see Ben at playtime. From what I can gather they choose to play together quite often despite my encouraging them to play with their friends instead! I love that they choose to play together but at the same time would rather they played with their friends at school when they have all the time in the world together at home! As a side effect of Amy being in full time school, she now has new childcare arrangements which means she goes to out of school clubs with Ben and Chloe – on more than one occasion I’ve arrived to collect them only to find the three of them snuggled up together watching a film! I won’t deny that I stood and watched them for a few moments before disturbing them!
Ben and Chloe would happily tell you they don’t like each other, that Ben is always mean to Chloe and that she hates him – and whilst it’s true that they do irritate each other and wind each other up in the way siblings do, they are constantly showing just how much they do love each other. Just this last Friday night Chloe curled up on Ben’s lap to watch Disney on Ice when she was starting to get tired! They can often be found snuggled up to one another watching TV or playing on a tablet together.
Amy plays her role of little sister to a tee – equal parts irritating and cute so mostly they don’t mind helping her to do the things she’s struggling with, reading her a story, tying her shoe laces or supporting her with her homework.
Several times recently people have commented on how well the three of them get on – and mostly they do. Of course there’s some bickering as you’d expect but more often than not they adore each other – I just hope it lasts!
Half term is rapidly creeping up on us and I’m looking forward to a fairly relaxed week with the kids – we’ve not got much planned yet but I’ve asked them to write me a list of things they might like to do – I need to try and get organised as too much time in the house is no fun at all!
That’s so lovely that you get to sneak in and see them snuggled together watching a film, its these little moments that make your heart swell as a parent. I can’t believe it’s half term next week, the girls need it and I need to get planning too x
We’re still in school next week – not long to go though!

I know exactly what you mean! I also missed the September one and only remembered to write about my 4 this month because I spotted someone else’s post 🙂 A. also started at the Junior school so I’ve now got 2 in the infants and 2 in the Juniors! They grow up too quickly! #siblingsproject
I think it gets harder to write every month as their relationships are more stable at the moment – things don’t change so fast once they are older. I do love to share monthly pictures though.
Exactly the same here! I think I might just share photos, as I really enjoy gathering the photos of them as a little gang every month 🙂

Your three always look like such a cute gang together. My two bicker and squabble all the time but it is the little moments you catch that let you know they do love each other really 🙂
Absolutely. Just yesterday Dave sent me a photo of the big two snuggled up watching tv together.
