When Dave and I were first together in our early twenties I used to joke about being a PlayStation widow – I used to spend my weekends watching him and Woody playing SSX Tricky, I can still hear the soundtrack over a decade later!
Thankfully, although Dave does still enjoy playing games when he gets chance it’s no longer top of his priority list! Â On the odd time he does get chance to have control of the tv he’s far more likely to be found watching a bit of Top Gear or Formula 1. Â I don’t mind Formula 1 myself, I can’t be bothered to sit and watch the whole Grand Prix but I do quite enjoy the highlights. Â We actually went to watch the British Grand Prix at Silverstone a few years ago – the day was somewhat marred by the less than beautiful British summer weather, however the race itself was fantastic. Â I’d love to go and watch a street race like Monaco at some point.
I’m lucky really that although Dave does enjoy watching a bit of sport now and again he’s not a complete addict.  (One of his best friends is such a sports whore he’d watch snails racing if it was on telly.)  I’m not sure I could cope with being a proper sports widow however the occasional bit of sport on tv does give me the chance to indulge in a little bit of me time!Â
Everyone loves a parcel of treats right?  Next time Dave puts on the Formula 1 I’ll be cracking out my special Pamper Parcel and taking some time for myself.Â
