Draw in the Frost & A Winter Bucket List Update

Last Updated on 27 January 2025 by Colette

Although I only wrote a Winter Bucket List update last week, I’ve got a few more things to cross of my list so here goes:

6. Keep working towards my “Wedding Weight”

This might seem a bit of an odd one to update straight after Christmas when I have, without doubt, not lost any weight – however I did notice earlier this week that since this time last year I’ve managed to drop almost exactly two stone so that’s a bit of a win!  I need to get this next week out of the way and then get back head back into it.  Hopefully by next Christmas (or rather sooner) I’ll have lost another two stone.

7. Write letters to Father Christmas

This was SO late this year – we only wrote the letters on Christmas Eve, whoops! I didn’t think we were actually going to get it ticked off but thankfully Ben remembered and was keen to get it done. You can read about Ben’s Christmas List here.

10. Draw in the frost

Drawing in the frost has been on my Winter Bucket list before but we didn’t manage to achieve it last year!  This year has been so mild that we’ve seen little frost as yet, however the other morning our cars were thick with it so I sent Ben out while Dave was packing the car and asked him to write his name on the window.  Hopefully we’ll get chance to do a bit more of this soon!

(You can find more ideas for winter activities without snow here)

17. Host Christmas in our very own home for the first time!

This was a big one for us – you can read all about our experience of hosting Christmas and why we’re not doing at again next year!

So I think we’ve mad a good start on our Winter Bucket List to say we’re only three weeks in!

    • It's more than I had expected! I don't feel that much slimmer – unless I look at pictures then I guess I can see it a bit!
