Back in September I stumbled across the idea of writing anĀ Autumn Bucket ListĀ – I loved working our way through it, it gave me focus and inspiration when we were stuck for things to do. Ā Admittedly we didn’t manage to complete everything on the list but I don’t suppose that’s really a surprise.
This is our Winter Bucket List:
- See Father Christmas – we usually go to Stockeld Park on the first weekend in December but that would prove tricky this year as I can’t drive at the moment.
- Write letters to Father Christmas
- Go sledging (clearly this one is weather dependent)
- Make snow angels
- Eat lots of pate – this one is especially for Mummy after a 9 month pregnancy ban!
- Make homemade Christmas cards – I’ve got lots of ideas on my Christmas pinterest board
- General Christmas craft – again plenty of ideas on pinterest ready and waiting for me to get started!
- Decorate the tree(s) together! I’m looking forward to having the big tree out again this year as Chloe is older!
- Eat mince pies – especially ones from Thomas the Baker in York – YUM!
- Visit Housing Units Christmas department
- Enjoy lots of hot chocolate
- Choose new baubles to add to the collection
- Draw in the frost
- Watch Christmas films
- Visit the Manchester Christmas Markets to see the lights
- Watch Chloe and Ben’s Christmas performances at Nursery and school
A slightly longer list than the Autumn one but there’s just so much more to do over the festive period! Do you think I’ve missed anything off? I’ll keep you updated as to how we get on!

Great list, can't wait to get started on decorating the tree š
We're not doing ours for another two weeks – I LOVE Christmas but don't like the decorations up too early!
Fab list. We've already done about 4 on your list…rather excited in this house
Yes to be honest I think I need to write an update post tomorrow as we've done some of it already too!
I lovereading your lists, inspires me!!! x
Great list we always find ourselfs crazy busy in December, weight parties, church and carol services, Christmas shows, Santa visits…. Gosh I'm tired already
I like the pate one best haha!
xXx
Its one of my favourites too š
I think I need to visit this Thomas the Baker …and housing units!! I've never ever been!
Highly recommend both. Thomas' make the best mince pies ever!
I'm a definite 12 every year!
Great list, very similar to ours. We have already started our way through a mince pie mountain. How about building a snow fort?
Sounds like you are going to be very busy! Looks like a great list though x
This is such a great idea. How much fun is it to make a list of fun stuff to look forward to!
