Spring is in the air!

Has anyone else noticed that the arrival of March appears to have dragged the Spring along with it with impeccable timing?
 
Monday morning was so lovely that I took the girls to the park on the way home from taking Ben to school.  Chloe really enjoyed playing on the swings and climbing frame but the outing was short lived due to her little sister deciding she didn’t want to sleep after all and quite fancied feeding.  (I’m perfectly happy feeding in public but it wasn’t really warm enough to be sitting on a park bench with my boob out when I was only a two minute walk from the comfort of my sofa!)  The day continued to be so lovely that we in fact ended up back in the park again at home time with Ben.  A full hour of fresh air and general fun for them both (with the extra bonus of them going straight to sleep without a peep at bedtime!)

And the sun continued to shine on Tuesday so we took full advantage and got out in the front garden with some bubbles –  I was really impressed that they both managed to blow some pretty good bubbles, Chloe especially as I’m not sure I’ve really seen her do it before – she’s never had the necessary control and tends to blow too hard.  Of course she did manage to spill plenty on the floor so this bit of fun was relatively short lived!

I’ve even managed to put the washing out a bit – albeit only on pegged on the airer so I could whip it back in the house if the weather turned on me!

Yesterday Chlo and I were looking at the daffodils in the park on the way to playgroup – I was showing her the buds and explaining that very soon they were going to pop their bright yellow flowers out.  She went straight to them this morning to see if they had flowered yet.  I’m sure by the time we go back on Tuesday they will be waving their yellow heads at her.  I’ve started to notice blossom and buds appearing everywhere on the bushes and trees – it makes my heart glad.

  2. We put our washing out today ON THE LINE!! Amazing! Our bed now smells that lovely summer airy smell. The sun shone all day too, it makes me happy every morning when the sky is blue! x
