Obviously you all know I love a good photograph. Capturing precious memories to be looked back on in years to come is one of my favourite things to do – be it the big milestones, the exciting trips or the ordinary day to day moments in between. I have something ridiculous like 400GB of photos on my hard drive, some 44500 images . . . (I think I maybe need to go through and have a bit of a tidy up as you can guarantee that plenty of those will be about 10 versions of the same photo!)
But, what good is 44500 images on my laptop where only I can see them? I share lots of them on instagram or on my blog, and we do have quite a lot of framed images around the house but this summer Snapfish wanted me to do more with my photos. Snapfish offer a wide range of products which can be personalised with your photos and text to make something really special. From a £2.99 fridge magnet through to a £49.99 personalised beach towel, you will find a gift to suit your budget! (I say gift, I’ve totally just ordered things for myself!)
When we were on holiday in Tenerife last month, I joked with Dave that I would love to be able to have a “We’re going on an adventure” branded beach towel . . . and guess what? Snapfish sell beautifully soft and absorbent beach towels which you can personalise with your own text and images, you can even choose a background. Well, when I saw there was a navy stripe background you know what I had to do right?
I’m so in love with it! There’s no way anyone else is going to be saving their sun lounger with an identical towel now is there? (For other ideas on how to personalise your beach towel check out Make, Do and Push and What the Redhead Said)
I thought it would be lovely to make the children a personalised notebook each ready for ‘back to school’ with some of our best loved summery memories. They were so thrilled to see their favourite moments on the front of their very own notebook! (Snapfish have some great summer or back-to-school embellishments and backgrounds which you can add but I chose to let the photos speak for themselves this time!)
As I’ve mentioned, we have a lot of photos displayed in our home – the odd canvas but mainly framed in a variety of black or white frames. To ring the changes, I chose to try out a new product from Snapfish and had one of my favourite photos from France (and in fact possibly ever) printed on a 1.5mm thick aluminium coated panel – what I love most about this is that the rust resilient material makes it perfect for any room in the home – including the bathroom! The metal prints include a wall-mount bracket or an easel back to allow it to be displayed on a desktop or shelf (do check when you order as the largest size image is to be wall mounted only). We are having some new shelves put up in the living room as part of an ongoing decoration project so I’m going to save the print to display there (eventually!!).
If you’ve been inspired to do something with your summer photos, then jump on over to Snapfish where you can not only upload your photos easily from Facebook, Instagram and Google Photos but I’ve got a super generous 40% discount code for you too! Use code SUMMERFUN40 for 40% off site wide – and don’t forget to let me know what you’ve ordered! I’d love to see.
