On Wednesday night I was at home on my own. Dave was in Preston visiting his best mate before he moves away to start a new life with his lovely girlfriend. The kids were in bed and I was pegged out on the sofa writing a review after a long day at work (multiplying and dividing fractions in Year 6 if you please).
As I was working I was sporadically checking facebook, twitter, instagram – yes I was procrastinating as usual.  Anyway I spotted a message from the lovely Clare congratulating me – I wasn’t sure why and thought perhaps I’d won a competition somewhere.  Nope. Way better than that!  The list of finalists for this year’s MAD Blog Awards had just been announced and there, in the Best Pre-School Blog category was little old me . . . Â
It’s not like me to be lost for words but I just sat there in silent disbelief! I know everyone says this sort of thing but I really genuinely never expected to be up there. Yes I work extremely hard on my blog and yes I’m very proud of it but to see it listed as a MAD Blog Awards finalist was something I could never really have dreamed of.
There are 6 of us listed in the Best Pre-School Blog category and the winner will be chosen by public vote . . . of course this is where you come in! Â If you enjoy reading my blog, if it has ever made you laugh, smile, cry or inspired you to create something or go somewhere with your little ones then please just take a second to give us your vote:Â https://www.tots100.co.uk/vote/
I’m so excited to attend the awards again in September (you can read about last year here: That night I had dinner with Dr Ranj) – winning would of course be the icing on an already incredible cake!

You deserve to be in the finals as anyone can see how hard you work on your blog and how brilliant it is. You already have my vote xx
Thank you so much! x
Well, I've voted already and you were definitely my vote. I have everything crossed for you x
Congratulations your blog is so fab and very well deserved xx
Well done Colette, well deserved too. Looking forward to meeting you at the awards 🙂
Congrats on reaching the finals, I can't believe it either! Good luck! See you in September x
