We found conkers! – An Autumn Bucket List Update

Today the clocks went back.  Of course with two little people in the house that basically means absolutely nothing.  They woke up at their usual time of about 7.15am – except of course the clock read 6.15am … I got up with them regardless as they can hardly be expected to wait an extra hour before getting up – we’ll work on that during the course of the week!

We were all fed and dressed quite quickly so decided to go for a quick walk in the park while the sky looked relatively free of rain.  We took Thomas with us with the intention of having a proper walk rather than going on the swings (I’ve promised we’ll try and do that later in the week).  Thomas couldn’t have been happier to be free of this lead and having a good old bound around the park – he has been decidedly lacking in walks this last week while Dave was away.  Both children enjoyed running around collecting sticks and leaves, splashing in puddles and generally getting a good dose of fresh air! We were very excited to finally find some conkers!  Admittedly we literally only found about three but I can happily cross it off the Bucket List now!

We timed our walk beautifully as it absolutely chucked it down about 10 minutes after we had got home – but by then we were tucked up on the sofa enjoying our chocolate spread on toast!
Even Mummy splashed in the puddles!
Here’s the latest update to our Autumn Bucket List:

4. Splash in puddles  22.09.13 (and basically every wet school run!)

7. Introduce Ben and Chloe to the joys of hot Ribena
