What are you watching?

At the moment, as is to be expected with a new baby, I’m spending a lot of time indoors – which means a lot of time watching TV!  I couldn’t live without my Sky+ recording me lots of “rubbish” as Dave likes to refer to it.

I love This Morning.  There I’ve said it.  I’m not ashamed.  I love Philip and Holly, they make me laugh out loud most days.  I tend to record This Morning and then watch it back in bits as I get chance during the day – it saves me from watching David Dickinson or whatever other dross is on of an afternoon.

I actually found myself watching The X Factor this year – I’m not really sure how it happened as I’ve never watched it before.  In fact I’ve actively avoided it in the past but for some reason I got quite sucked in this year and I feel like I’ve got a gap on a Saturday night now! Think I need to fill that Sky box up with some more stuff to watch as the programming on a Saturday night seems to be particularly bad!

I discovered Goggle Box during one late night session with Amy and ended up watching most of that On Demand too – how ridiculous that watching other people watching tv is entertaining?! I got quite into it though, I guess partly because it was just easy to watch, no concentration required.

My absolute tv highlight of last year was Educating Yorkshire – what an awesome programme that was.  I would sit and text my Dad all the way through it as I knew he was watching too.  I was gutted when the series ended.

What’s your favourite programme?  Any guilty pleasures?

  1. We love Goggle Box! Hilarious! The middle ages drunk couple are just like my in laws 🙂 We also love to watch programs we shouldn't like Benefits Street and The Undateables!

    • I stopped watching that the night before the whole cot death / baby swap story happened as I couldn't bear the storyline – I've never watched it since!
