Surely she’s too young for why? My little girl is barely two! (Ok so she was actually two 3 months ago but it still seems like she’s only just two!)
I wrote last month about how I was really enjoying have more time with Chlo and how her speech has been coming on in leaps and bounds but “Why?” feels like such a massive leap? Â I did a bit of googling and it does seem that she is questioning why pretty early. Â

I’m not saying she’s asking massive earth shattering why questions like “Why is the sky blue” or anything – that’s much more Ben’s forte but she certainly understands the meaning of the word and we have conversations like this:
“Get Ben Mummy?”
“No darling we can’t get Ben till tea time.”
“Why Mummy?”
“Cos he has to be at school.”
“Why?”
“He’s got jobs to do, he has to stay there.”
“Why?”
OR
“Pete Rabbit Mummy?”
“Not now love it’s time for a snooze.”
“Why?”
It’s certainly one of her favourite words at the moment and I’m loving seeing her grasp of the English language grow!
I think I'm stuck at the Why? stage. 🙂
Ahh, takes me back to when my kids were that young.
