A Spring Bucket List Update

So although I’m sitting here listening to the wind and rain battering my house and feeling decidedly more wintery than should be acceptable at this time of year, I realised that I should probably do a bit of a Spring Bucket List catch up.  How is it already the end of March?! Where do the weeks go?

5. A family photo shoot with the fabulous Sally Langstaff
This actually happened at the weekend but I’ve not written about it yet as I want to save that for when I can share a few photos with you – for now I’m obsessively checking Sally’s facebook page waiting to see a sneak peek or two!

6. Celebrate my birthday
Yes that one definitely happened last week – you can read a couple of posts about it here: The Next Box on the Form, Birthday Celebrations with Balloon Time

10. Mothers’ Day
We had a lovely Mother’s Day – Ben and Chloe were both so excited to give me the things they had made, Ben had even managed to hide his card from me so that I thought he’d left it at school!

All my gorgeous Mother’s Day cards

12. Get the house straight – a proper Spring clean, declutter etc.
This is definitely an ongoing task – Really a could do with a good day or two childfree to really have a good go at it!  Yesterday involved descaling kitchen appliances as part of a blog project, today I’m moving furniture and blitzing behind it all.  We’re getting there slowly though.

13. Continue with #OperationWeddingWeight
We’re doing ok – I said I wanted another stone off by the end of May and I’m currently on track to get there.  I picked up Slimmer of the Month for March which I was thrilled about – I’m also thrilled to have new jeans for the first time in a very long time!

17. Make the most of being able to have fresh tulips in the house
I’m actually doing really well with this one at the moment – between a thank you gift from a friend, Mother’s Day, Mum treating me for my 1st stone off and my birthday I’ve had at least one vase full of tulips in the house constantly for a good few weeks now. This makes me happy!

So here’s our how our Spring Bucket List is looking so far – I can see lots more of that getting ticked off come April!
  1. Make the most of finally being able to have people round again – playdates, dinners, coffee!
  2. A family theatre visit
  3. Multiple blog conferences for Mummy!
  4. Take the kids to their first “festival” – Geronimo Fest
  5. A family photo shoot with the fabulous Sally Langstaff (I’m beyond excited about this) 28.03.15
  6. Celebrate my birthday  24.3.15
  7. Celebrate Dave’s birthday too
  8. Celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary
  9. Easter fun with Aunty Nic
  10. Mothers’ Day (looks pointedly at Dave) 14.03.15
  11. Hold an Extension Warming party
  12. Get the house straight – a proper Spring clean, declutter etc.
  13. Continue with #OperationWeddingWeight – I’m aiming to get another stone off by the end of May. There I’ve said it.
  14. Go to a farm and see some baby animals
  15. Take a trip to Whitby – this has been on the list since last Spring! It WILL happen!
  16. Get used to Daddy’s new job
  17. Make the most of being able to have fresh tulips in the house All of March!

  2. I love that photo of you all – you really look like you're ready for an adventure – whatever the weather! Also very well done with Slimming World. It's not easy, pat yourself on the back! I can't seem to stop eating chocolate at the moment!
