For a long time now, Amy has loved her dolls so when I was offered the opportunity to review the new BABY born Soft Touch and BABY born Bathtub I knew I had to say yes!
BABY born Soft Touch doll
The BABY born Soft Touch dolls are for children aged three years up and feature a range of realistic functions including crying real tears, opening and closing their eyes, eating and drinking. They are fully bathable and will even wee and poo when you push their belly button.
Each doll comes with eleven accessories – a special birth certificate, friendship bracelets, bottle, dummy and dummy clip, nappy, food, plate and spoon, and a potty.
Available as BABY born Soft Touch Girl, Girl Brown Eyes or Boy.
BABY born Soft Touch is a really satisfying weight to hold and her skin doesn’t feel hard and plasticy. She’s the perfect size for your little one to play with and take care of and will give hours and hours of play.
Whilst I’m not a massive fan of lots of accessories for dolls – Amy loves them! (And then loses them!)
Amy was a bit frustrated that the baby’s bottle didn’t actually fit in her mouth in the way that the dummy does but she has since realised that the bottle actually has a lid on it and once she’d taken that off it fit perfectly. She loves feeding her baby and changing her nappy (though you need to be careful with this as there is only one nappy and Amy quickly damaged the tabs). But for Amy, the highlight was being able to bath her new baby in her very own working shower . . .
BABY born Bath
Part of the BABY born Bathtime range; the best-selling BABY born Bathtub (RRP £39.99) features an automatic water function, sparkly lights and even a relaxing melody and rubber duck friend to play around in the bubbles!
Amy was beyond excited to be able to bath her babies in their very own bath – it’s not something she’s done before and oh her face when she realised that not only did it play music but the shower actually works! Obviously I was a bit worried about the mess and have set some rules in place about only letting me or Dave fill it with water and not playing with it on the carpet (especially as I realised it had leaked a smidge!)
She took great pleasure in wrapping her baby up in an old baby towel to dry her off and give her some cuddles before dressing her for bed!
The bath is going to get played with time and time again! (It’s worth noting that if you don’t want to put water in, you need to make sure the bath stays turned off as pressing the button for the lights and music also activates the motor to draw the water through the shower system and without water in you’d soon damage this.)

Why doesn’t the bottle fit in the baby’s mouth Luke the dummy does. My daughter found this very annoying.
I agree – it is an odd feature and one we found frustrating too.
